Oh, and it's called The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo - they were featured on Animal Planet as "The Little Zoo That Could". It's an amazing zoo. They are small, but the animals seem SO HAPPY there. They were destroyed during Hurricane Katrina and it's been a struggle for them to get back on their feet. They want to relocate somewhere that isn't in such a low-laying area so that if another hurricane devastates the Gulf Coast, they have a better chance of recovery. www.alabamagulfcoastzoo.com

Thank you so much for making us aware of this. I don't have a lot of cash to donate to charities so I'm always looking for "alternate" ways to give and this is terrific!

Shameless charity plug: I chose the Westside Center for Independent Living in Los Angeles, CA. They help people with disabilities to become and stay independent as opposed to being institutionalized. They're a great organization and this really makes me happy that I can help support them via something I do every day. Again, thank you! :-)
