NICE News: Salem restaurant becomes scene of kindness

I have to mention something NICE my husband did for me this morning. Last night we had some pretty wicked thunderstorms. So bad, in fact, that there are flood watches in the area. So this morning, Rob goes to load up his car with his coaching equipment, and he comes back inside and says, "I'm taking your car today." I usually hate driving Rob's car, so I whined, "Ugh, whhhyyyyyyyy?" And he responded, "because you left your driver-side window all the way down and your seat is completely soaked."

Uhhh, whoopsie.

I couldn't believe it. I mean, first of all, I rarely open my window. I live in ancient times and have manual windows, so really the only thing that will get my scrawny baby wrists to crank that handle is a Starbucks drive thru. But I forgot that when I came home last night, Rob was outside and I opened my window to say "hi" before parking. Crap. But my wonderful husband sacrificed his personal dryness so I didn't have to sit through my work day with a wet butt. What a NICE guy!

I also have some NICE News to share with you guys. Thanks so much to Kari H. for forwarding me this article from her local paper. I love hearing about someone paying it forward. And when chain reactions of kindness start, well, it's totally uplifting!

What a sweet thing for your husband to do!! If that's not true love, I don't know what is. :)

Your hubby is so sweet!

I LOVE that the 'pay it forward' marathon was organic - just grew all by itself.

Things like that give me hope.
