As soon as I heard about the Rally to Restore Sanity, I booked my train tickets and hotel room. Yes, I'm a fan of Stewart and Colbert, but I also think the idea of a gathering of people who promote rationalism and tolerance is fantastic. It doesn't matter which side you're on, extremism isn't a good thing. I'm friends with people who have different views than I do regarding politics and religion, etc. but we can still be friends because we respect each other.
I thought it'd be fun to make a sign to promote niceness while I'm at the rally. What do you think??? (I had a major Sharpie headache the entire time I was drawing!)
So I'll be spreading the word in Washington, DC tomorrow. Hopefully some people will take the message to heart. Have a great weekend guys! Also, don't forget to vote for Operation NICE in Amway's Positivity Project! I made it to the finals, but the only way I'll have a shot at winning is if you guys click the "vote" button. It only takes one second and doesn't require any registration. Please help! Thank you!

I'm so delighted you're bringing Operation NICE to D.C. this weekend and your sign is a total work of art. Although my fair city gets a pretty bad reputation, there really are genuine, nice people from all over.
Philly isn't exactly known for it's nice folks either, so I know what you mean. :) I'm hoping the rally is full of kind people!
"I look forward to spending the day with reasonable, tolerant, and kind people."
No offense but that sounds really judgmental to anyone who attended other rallies. That doesn't sound very nice to me, but that's my own viewpoint.
Have fun tomorrow!
I'm sorry you think that. Definitely not my intention! I'm not saying that people at other rallies AREN'T those things. I'm just saying that I hope people at this rally WILL BE those things because that's the whole theme. In fact, I've been to other rallies, so I'd like to think that the fact that I was there doesn't make me irrational and mean. I met some very wonderful people at them.
Just clarified my Facebook post, Anonymous. I don't want to come across as judgemental.
Thanks for the clarification!

I LOVE your sign! So awesome that you made it yourself, and hand-drafted those letters. I guess being a graphic designer, you'd know how to do these kinds of things though. STILL, its awesome!
Have fun at the rally.
