NICE Testimonial: 34 Random Acts of Kindness

A few days ago, I received an email from Michelle of the blog So Wonderful, So Marvelous, telling me about how she made her recent birthday SUPER special. She decided to perform 34 random acts of kindness, one for each year of her life. Why does she do this? Well, because she shares my philosophy and writes, "It's amazing what a little kindness can do."

Michelle documented each act of kindness through words and photos. They include leaving treats for her mail carrier, making donations to various non-profit organizations, sending a thank you note, leaving lotto tickets for her waitress (which I am totally stealing and using in the future!), taking a "huge bucket filled with roses to the nursing home to have the staff put in the rooms of patients who don't get many visitors," and so many more!

You can read them all right here and get inspired!

Also, Michelle encouraged her blog readers, family, and friends to participate as well, and so many of them did! Her birthday brought so much happiness to the world because of her initiative!

And in addition to the blog post, this event was documented with video which you can watch right here:

So ya know, I turn 30 on August 29th. Seems like a perfect opportunity for a 30 Random Acts of Kindness project, dontcha think??? I might have to start planning a little sumthin sumthin. Thanks Michelle, for being such a great influence!

And OMG you have the same birthday as my husband! If that's not a sign you should do it too, I don't know what is!

You know Mel, I used to donate blood every year on my birthday. One day, there was a test my blood didn't pass; it came up with a false positive. Even though I've been cleared with my doctor, now the blood center won't take my blood anymore!

I think this is an absolutely wonderful idea. Kudos to Michelle! My birthday is in three weeks, and I need 42 ideas!

That's a great Idea! I think I would start my own list. It's so happy to be nice and makes world a better place to live in.

I am currently saving coins on a bottle which i intend to give to street children. I am doing this every Christmas.

BTW. I added your Badge on my blog so that my reader would be inspired toO!

Wow, what a great idea! Could be a little challenging as one gets up in years, though. I'm picturing myself at 80 and thinking a nap would be a random act of kindness to anyone near me!
