My Blogiversary Celebration!

First of all, I have to thank you guys SO MUCH for sending in your NICE Note photos! They made me smile all day. It's so cool to think that a lot of people smiled a little extra yesterday due to your kind deeds. I can't thank you enough. You really are the reason why this blog exists at all. Without other people supporting niceness, it'd just be me rambling to myself. I hope that I can continue blogging for another year, and hopefully much longer than that!

We had a total of 29 people who participated in the Operation NICE Blogiversary NICE Note drop, which means a $87 donation to The Hunger Project. But you know, I was prepared to make a $100 donation, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. So along with Jeni and Aimee's pledges, that'll be $158! Yay!

So, I didn't blog about what I did to celebrate last Thursday. I woke up early to prepare my NICE Note drops for the day. On the way into work, I stopped by the grocery store. I taped these three around the store along with an instant win lotto ticket. I hope they were lucky!

Then I took a trip to the ATM and left this one, along with a $5 Starbucks gift card. I felt like the cameras were watching me!

Then I tucked a note along with a lotto ticket under this person's windshield in the parking garage. The car was still there when I left for the day and the note was still on it!

Then I took a trip to LOVE Park. I knew I wanted to put a note on the LOVE statue, but I didn't want to get in trouble for touching the artwork. I snuck up there super quickly and taped it to the base. Luckily people are always taking photos of it, so it wasn't suspicious when I snapped a few of my own.

And last but not least, I left a note on the bench outside of my office building along with A Little Book of Thank Yous.

This assignment was so incredibly fun! I don't know why I don't do things like that more often! I really should just carry a bunch of those NICE Notes in my purse. Oh, and as an added sweet treat, I brought in a chocolate cream pie to work to share with my team at our biweekly meeting. We all scarfed that niceness down real fast!

Thanks again for taking time to visit my little corner of the web. I never thought when I started this project that it would get such great reception. But every day I see proof of kindness, and that just makes me want to promote it louder and prouder! Hugs to you all!

Well I managed to print a BUNCH of nice notes, but I haven't gotten around to posting them yet. As soon as I can get some pics, I'll send them to you. I love this idea! And your pictures have inspired me even more. What wonderful ideas! :)

This is too darn cute, it kills me. Oh I wish I had a hidden camera on the person that found your book. Maybe that could be your pitch for a 'NICE' reality TV show. You leave notes + presents randomly around the globe and video tape it to see the expressions.

xo,

Miss B.

Love the post, it is such a fantastic project! I hope you picked up that piece of litter in the bottom photo, our earth needs love too! Who knows, maybe the recipients of the Nice notes will be the ones to find that book! :)
