NICE Stuff: Between Me and You Journals

Happy Friday! Are you guys ready for the weekend? I signed up for a yoga class that starts tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about it because I'm probably the least flexible, least athletic person that will ever step foot into that studio. But hopefully after five classes, I'll come close to touching my toes. It was a great excuse to buy a cute mat, bag, and outfit. :)

Have you seen these Between Me and You journals before? They are filled with thought-provoking questions that the recipient fills out, and then the book is returned back to you, and you are given insight into the mind of your loved one. I've notice them throughout the blogosphere for a while now and have been interested in checking one out. I really wish I would have had one to exchange with my grandmother before she passed away a few years ago. She would have loved it!

If there's someone in your life whose brain you'd like to pick, then now is the perfect time to get a Between Me and You Keepsake Journal. Sand Dune Publishing Co. is donating 25% of all sales today to the Red Cross for earthquake relief in Haiti. I think I might get two "Honey" journals for me and my husband. It'd be cute to exchange them on Valentine's Day, don't you think?

Well, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Cute idea Melissa. Might help keep the flame going on a long-distance relationship...
Kudos on signing up for the yoga class. I'm still trying to get my mind around the idea... I'm no longer as flexible as I was ten years ago. I do remember being an all around happier person back then, I'm sure it helps to spread the nice vibe...
Love your blog!

I love that idea of the journals for Valentine's Day. If I thought my hubby would actually do it I would go for it, but I know he won't! :)

Woo hoo! I bought the Grandma one some time back at a local bookstore and always meant to buy more but never got around to it. So today with this charitable effort I stocked up! I got 8 in all! One each for my mom, dad, sister, and aunt for them to fill out... plus a daughter and a sister for me to fill out to give to them.... plus an aunt one for my aunt to fill out... plus two honey ones for my husband and I to each fill out! Normally my husband wouldn't do it but it will be out 10th anniversary in March so I'll give it to him now and tell him I want it filled as my present, LOL! :) Thanks so much for letting me know about this! :)

Happy Friday to you as well!

I bought these a couple of years ago, one each for my Mom and Dad, and had them fill them out for me. I am 41 years old and although I don't have any children I so wanted to have their words, their handwriting, and their thoughts down about their childhood, meeting each other, having me and my sister. It was great~not only did I get all of the above I also got the essence of each of them. My mom is a list maker and so she filled it out by making lists. My Dad is a writer so he filled it with stories. I treasure both!

Ohh, those are great!
I certainly think I'm going to get some for my boyfriend and myself for Valentine's Day as well. They're so clever!

What a wonderful idea! How funny - like your other commenter, Cameron, my hubby's and my 10th anniversary is coming up and I thought of this as a wonderful gift. (Oh, and so many other uses!)

And as a yogini, I urge you not to stress over your flexibility. Once we get our fears out of the way (it's a process...they never fully disappear!), true yoga happens. And oh my, it's a blissful and yummy way to be!

Best wishes for your class!

I had totally forgotten that about 5 years ago, I did this with my kids. I just bought some regular stenographers' notebooks and put each kid's name on the front. Then I would write them a short letter about something and slide it under their bedroom door. They would answer me back and slide it back under my door. It was rather awesome. Great way to let them know I still loved them if I had lost my temper over something, and it had the same use for them sometimes. Sometimes we just jotted down our thoughts. It didn't go on for all that long, but I really loved doing it. Now I'm going to have to go and see where I put those books. I'd love to read over what we wrote to each other!

Melissa, I love these! They're such a wonderful find. I'm buying one for my mother and my aunt. I think they'll like them very much and it'll be great to read all the things they have to say when they finish with them.

These are very interesting. It would be a great way to write letters to my kids that they can read when they get older.

This reminds me of the journal I used to keep with a friend in high school. We would draw and write in it and exchange it in between periods. It was so fun!
