The other day I received an email from NICE reader Amy H. with a link to this news story from CBS Nightly News. I had goose-bumps the entire time I read it. Andy Mackie wanted to spend his final days doing something special. Well, days turned into years, and Andy has been giving the gift of music to thousands of children all the while. I saw the story the first time they aired it several years ago, and I saw it just the other evening when they aired this update. What he has done is an amazing thing. How wonderful to create such a love of music in the entire area. Shows what can be done by a single person.
