For some bizarre reason, I'm always nervous doing things like this. Hey, if someone handed me a bag of candy, they'd be my new best friend. But I don't know, my social anxiety kicks in and I honestly almost chickened out. But when I was at the register, I pulled out the bags and just went for it. After I left Starbucks, I had the biggest smile on my face! I should really do that kind of thing more often!

Hi, I'm Melissa! Welcome to my blog! I believe that kindness can change the world, so it's my mission to spread the concept of being nice, as simple as that may sound. I hope you'll have a look around!
Do you have a NICE story you'd like to share? Maybe one you've stumbled upon or something that has affected you personally? If so,

Here's a list of NICE folks who have mentioned Operation NICE on their site or supported us by using our badge. Thank you so much!

Go you! It's sad but true that it's easy to "chicken out" of performing kindness, isn't it? So glad you didn't! :)
Me too! I don't know what my issue is. I guess I'm worried people will think I'm weird or something. I mean, I AM weird, but in a good way! :)
I did mine last night!
this is exactly what i needed to read right now.
What a lovely thing to do! I'll try to remember your courage the next time I "chicken out".
Awe, yay! Happy halloween!
YAY for niceness!
hi! i like your blog! I like that you just want to spread kindess! Good on you :) keep on keeping on!
Your blog looks so professional did you do it yourself?
Good for you! I found your blog from the Upwards Blog and love it. Can't wait to dig in more!
What a very nice gesture. I did something similar like this. I had made some Halloween cards and after leaving a restaurent on Halloween day I left a halloween card with some Halloween Humor inside and a big thank-you for the service. It was a cute card if I do say so myself. I wish I had done more of them. I think I'm going to make some seasonal cards with humor inside to leave for people I'm grateful for when visiting or doing business with them. For November....hey Thanksgiving...an Thanksgiving humor or poems on the inside are good. I have some very cool fall photos I can use....thanks for the inspiration! I'll have to blog on this soon.... Maria
