First, let me give you a little back story. Back in April, I posted about how I was going to be attending the HOW Design Conference and how I had a few reservations about meeting new people. In short, I was crazy nervous! But thanks to my post, I found out that Brooke, a designer at Two Paperdolls, a company whose work I had been drooling over for years, was also going to be attending with a group of her coworkers. And hey, coincidentally, we were all booked on the same flight out to Austin and back to Philadelphia. Awesome!
Brooke and her coworkers (Maggie, Terry, Chris, and Vanessa) ended up being the absolute nicest folks ever, and were kind enough to let me infiltrate their group throughout the trip. All my concerns about sitting by myself at the nerd table quickly vanished, and I suddenly had a new group of friends. I couldn't have been more grateful!
Well, the gang at Two Paperdolls (who have a retail collection of the most incredible letterpress goodies called Louella Press) were not only generous with their friendship, but they also thoughtfully offered up two of their 8"x10" limited edition letterpress prints from their brand spankin' new etsy shop for a giveaway!
How amazing are these??? Gorgeous letterpress. Beautifully designed. AND promoting kindness. Couldn't be more perfect!

They are giving away one of each of these two prints shown here. That means TWO winners. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment here, let us know which one you prefer, and tell me what you're thankful for today. It could be a person, or your morning coffee, or a forthcoming vacation. Whatever you'd like! I'll draw the winners randomly next Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
As for me, I'm thankful for the ladies and gentleman at Two Paperdolls/Louella Press for making this giveaway possible!

I LOVE the Be Nice {or leave} print. It's straightforward, yet tongue-in-cheek. The best of both worlds!
Today, I am thankful for my fleecy Wizard of Oz blanket, as my office is particularly frigid this morning :-)
Thanks, Melissa!
I am thankful for our wonderful nanny, Elena. It is so hard to leave my beautiful baby boy to go and work
(I am a wedding photographer), but I feel safe knowing that she treats him like her own.

My fav is the Be Nice or Leave print. I know just where I'll put it in my apartment!
This morning I'm thankful for the opportunity to take a morning stroll through a dog park.
The weather's great, AND I picked up a latte on my way back to the office!
I love the Say Please print. People these days can be so blunt and demanding, all in the interest of maximizing time. I'd hang the print in my cubicle, where I could gesture toward it when necessary!
Today I am thankful for the opportunities I have because I live where I live. I normally have a pretty neutral-to-bad attitude about my geographical location, but today, it's affording me and my fiance chances at a life we'd be unable to find in a different place.
I love these! So sweet. Politeness is the BEST!!
I love the Be Nice print!! Sums it all up so nicely!

Hi! I prefer the Be Nice or Leave one but I also like the other to! Not fussy!!! :-)
I'm thankful for the fact that I am looking forward to seeing my step-kids tonight. I've spent the last two years trying to get over my wicked stepmotherness and dreading their visits and I'm thankful that they are in my life and that I am now able to appreciate that!
I love the BE NICE poster!
I am thankful for my lovely husband who let me sleep in a little longer this morning and took the bus to work...
BE NICE!
I am thankful that my boyfriend woke me up with a surprise breakfast in bed and had my favorite candy on my keyboard this morning. How NICE!
I've practiced kindness over the past year or so and really tried to be more aware of these gestures. I've bought extra passes/tickets at events and gave them to someone in line with the message, "Pay it forward." I've been a nicer driver, letting people in when needed. When traveling I've been respectful of cultures and helped where I could by being nice. In Iquitos, Peru I noticed after the New Years celebrations a group of 15 or so kids walking around their neighborhood picking up all the trash and putting it into trash bags while the other neighborhoods just left it there. I went and got some candy and toys and brought it to them. They then invited me into their house where each kid gave me a personal thank-you. They were really grateful and ended up giving me a gift as well. It felt good to spread the nice!
i love both of them, but especially like the "say please" one. my grandma always told me that you can get anywhere in life with a please & thank you!
today, i'm grateful to have such a wonderful grandmother who always had the best tips!
These are gorgeous! I love the Say Please print. Today I am thankful for talented people who make such beauty in this world. :)
They are both amazing! I too, love their work at Two Paperdolls!
It's NICE being NICE.
These are AMAZING! I love them! I especially enjoy the "Be Nice" one because it ties in so well with the ideas I focus on in my blog -- being positive in the present moment. One of the greatest ways to be positive in the moment is to be nice! :)

Ooh, I like the Be Nice one (in the light blue/yellow).
What am I thankful for? That I still have the ability to believe despite what's going on in my world right now. :)
My fave: the red/blue Say please {and Thank You}. Fantastic! I was recently turned on to the art of letter press, and these are beautiful!

I'm thankful that I'm starting to get a handle on what I want to do with my life. Seems to be coming together.

~Shari R.
Those prints are both so beautiful and I love the messages! I would have to say my favourite is "Say Please..." To use manners is such a simple act of kindness.
I am grateful for my parents today and every day! As a single working mom, they take wonderful care of my son while I'm working to support my little family. It is comforting to know he's in such loving hands and they bring as much joy to his life as he does to theirs (:
Thanks for the opportunity Melissa... I just discovered your blog and I love it!
I absolutely adore the Be Nice print!!
Today I am so thankful for Twitter. Now I have so many amazing friends all over the world that I highly doubt I would have made (or kept so well in touch with) otherwise.
I adore the Be nice {or leave} print. I have recently become the president of my condo association and it would be the perfect sign to hang on just inside my door and remind everyone that we need to be nice to all our neighbors.
Personally, I am grateful for my education and the opportunity I have had to pursue a career in my field. I am so blessed to walk into work everyday and love what I do.

Cheers!
I can't decide between the two!

Hello! I love the "Be Nice" print. I am thankful that I had an incident today that even though it was quite embaressing, it taught me to slow down in my actions, my thoughts, my feelings....and to breathe
Those are cute. I like them both! But I think I like the "Be Nice" one better. Today I am thankful for my new friend Anna from art class who took me to yoga with her.
It is so hard to choose!! These are both statements that reflect the overall gracious attitude I want my family and home to represent. I have 2 children whom I reinforce these statements to on a daily basis. My 4-year-old is reading now and he'd love to have a "Be Nice" sign to point to when his friends are over as he is quite concerned with everyone being peaceful with one another.
I believe being thankful is equally as important and reflect on a daily basis with my family just how blessed we really are and how important it is to "Be Thankful".
I would love to have one of these prints, but am content to know that someone out there is spreading these messages.
Good job! They are not only beautifully designed, but both make valid statements.
Thank you!
Cat

I am thankful I can listen to music, see the beautiful world and play on the web commenting on things like this giveaway. I am thankful for this and so much more. I am thankful....
I'm telling you. The BE Nice (or leave) poster is the one to have. Versatility - Kitchen or office. Color Scheme - again, Blue and grey - with just about any room. Honesty - very straight forward with a little snicker. - CHer
I LOVE the yellow & blue BE NICE! It would be so cute in my baby boy's nursery that my husband and I are putting together for his November arrival. Today I am thankful for such a loving husband who takes such good care of me, especially now while I'm carrying our child. It's amazing!
I love, love, love the be nice or leave....I ascribe to that theory every day.
I'm thankful for Melissa for organizing and keeping Operation NICE up and running. It inspires me more than you know! Keep up the great work!
First off, these prints are beautiful! I wouldn't be opposed to winning either or! So, if I'm chosen, I'll take the opposite of what the other winner chooses. ;) Makes it easier.
What am I thankful for today? Well, that would be the fact that my creativity seems to be back on track. For the past week, it seems as though my mind just didn't want to work. It's been dragging along and doing what's necessary, but I had lost that zip, pow, and wow that makes my job so much fun! Glad to say that I felt a little of that zip again today.
You know how it is for us graphic designers. The "zip" is a necessary ingredient for good design! Right? ;)
Yummy, yummy, yum.
I am thankful for my children's laughter. Some days, it keeps me sane.
Love the site, love your journal site (adorable!), love the letterpress. Keep up the great work!
Both are lovely and I love the color combos, but if I have to choose, I would chose the second one.
I am thankful for the wonderful kids that live in our neighborhood. I had the sprinklers on to water our front yard. 3 little girls who live next door were standing under the sprinklers with little umbrellas. It was the most adorable thing.
I adore the "Say please...and thank you" print. It is even in the same color as my gorgeously elegant wedding stationery from Two Paperdolls! They are the best!!! What a great eye for creativity and class.
I am incredibly thankful for the amazing wedding day I had on July 4th. I am so fortunate to have been surrounded by the magnificent love and support of all of our family and friends... including my father. My Dad gave me away on that miraculous day, and then he passed away 11 days later. I am so thankful for his love and lessons.

I am thankful for people like you who promote nice behavior and actions! Yesterday, I sponsored Wednesday challenge for readers of a blog I was guest-writing for to perform a random act of kindness. The most random, selfless and heartfelt act won a new MomAgenda (it is a mom-site). A lady from Oklahoma was the winner and she deserved it! So, I'm thankful for her too!
Thanks for what you do with Operation Nice!
