But I wanted to know your thoughts! I want you to feel like you are a part of this site because you are...the most important part, actually. Is this something you guys would be interested in? Do you already have someone in mind? It could be someone in the blogosphere that you think does a great job of promoting kindness. Or maybe a family member that goes above and beyond the call of duty. And maybe I could whip up a NICE Certificate for them and mail it off. I'll have to work out the kinks, but if you all have any suggestions or recommendations, I'd love to hear it!

I really like the idea. Are you thinking that you'd send them out or that you'd make them available via download so readers can print them out and address them themselves?

Cheryl - I'm hoping it won't be too too much work! I'm thinking if I can have people fill out a questionnaire, then maybe I can do a lot of copying and pasting. :)
Leandra - I was thinking I could print them and mail them to the recipient. But I guess only if I get the person's address.

Lately I have encountered a lot of NON-nice people. just plain rude. i am not alone. i would like to nominate the rudest person of the week...lol.
I think it's important to let nice people know they are appreciated. It ultimately promotes niceness, and everyone benefits. Wonderful idea, dearie! Perhaps you could make the certificate in a pdf format to be sent to the nominator to fill in the name and present to the nomin-nice-ee?
