This is only the 2nd presidential election where I voted. And the last one I really only did because my husband encouraged me to. But this year, I was thrilled to be a part of something so massive! I feel like the American people are ready to be heard. There is so much energy in the air today. I love it!
Have you ever been involved in a wave at a sports stadium? It starts out small and kind of pathetic. But after several attempts it grows bigger and bigger. And then when you see it approaching your section, you become filled with that nervous anticipation as you prepare to stand and raise your arms. You do it and scream along with the crowd, and when it passes, you feel an excitement...a natural high. No matter which team you're rooting for, it's a great experience, and you feel a connection with everyone else in that stadium.
Get the metaphor?
I hope you were able to experience the awesomeness of the whole process.
