I know many of you enjoy making love lists, so I'm doing another version for today's NICE Assignment. When I read through a few of the ones from last week all about people in your life, I noticed a couple of you wrote about loving yourself. I thought that was wonderful! And so I decided to make today's Love List all about YOU.
Today's Assignment: Make a Love List about Yourself
What do you love about yourself? It could be something about your appearance or personality, your strengths or talents, whatever you'd like! Post it on your blog or post it here in the comments. Or do both! Either way, really focus on what you love about yourself and I guarantee you'll feel happier afterwards.
Here's my love list:I love being half Korean and half Irish. It's really cool to have that mixed heritage. I love having really strong, pretty fingernails. It might be silly, but I get a lot of compliments on them. I love wearing glasses. I know they might not seem like they are a part of me, but they really are. I love being confident enough to wear brightly colored tights around town. I love my obsession with music. It brings me so much joy! I love the fact that I consider myself to be really well rounded. I'm smart, talented, kind, and pretty adorable, if I do say so myself. :) Even though it makes me nervous, I love public speaking because I think I'm pretty good at it. I love a lot of the design work that I've done, particularly my melissahead logo, which I created about 7 years ago. I love where I am in my life. I have no regrets and I feel as if I'm exactly where I should be! So I suppose that means I've made a lot of good decisions.
Wow, can I say that writing that list was REALLY HARD?? It took me forever, and I didn't write much. I stared at my monitor trying to think of things I loved about myself. I felt like I wanted to justify everything I wrote, and it was difficult for me to avoid including anything negative. Maybe this is something I should try to do monthly! I didn't think my esteem was that low! Hopefully you will all have more luck than I did!

I've played this game with friens, that everyone says one thing about everyone else that they love. It can be pretty amazing when people take it seriously. I've seen tears of joy...try it really!
