NICE Site: Project 10 to the 100th

Not sure if you've heard about this project, but a few people forwarded it along to me and suggested that I write about it. They know me all too well. Here's the scoop. Google has started this venture in search for ideas. Ideas to benefit the world. Ideas that will reach as many people as possible. It's like benevolent crowdsourcing.

From the Project 10100 website:
At Google, we don't believe we have the answers, but we do believe the answers are out there. Maybe in a lab, or a company, or a university -- but maybe not.

Maybe the answer that helps somebody is in your head, in something you've observed, some notion that you've been fiddling with, some small connection you've noticed, some old thing you have seen with new eyes.

If you have an idea that you believe would help somebody, we want to hear about it. We're looking for ideas that help as many people as possible, in any way, and we're committing the funding to launch them.

Check out this video and then go submit your idea! I did.

This is a serious proposal. Congratulations to Google on its anniversary and its charitably ambitious endeavor. Many good program ideas will be submitted. Is there one idea that can begin to solve all the problems in the world?
With all the greed and selfishness on the globe, with all the trillions spent on programs, is there a better solution?
I went on a blog that says the egoism in the world must be replaced with altruism. This group deals with this subject daily.
