While poking around the news today, I found an article about a lost wallet and just had to share!
From delawareonline.com:
OCEAN CITY, Md. — Parents sunning on the beach expect their kids to run up from the ocean saying, “Look what I found!” before showing off shells, stones or assorted aquatic creatures.
But an ocean find by 11-year-old Rowan Short of Highland Woods in Brandywine Hundred made her parents gasp.
She found more than a thousand bucks.
The family was on vacation in Ocean City, Md., last week, and Rowan was playing in the Atlantic Ocean when something touched her foot.
The soon-to-be sixth-grader said she pulled up the mystery object and “I was puzzled what it was, I wasn’t really sure.” She looked more closely. “It was a plastic bag with money and credit cards and ID and there was a bunch of sand and water in it.”
When she ran to her parents, Bryon and Kristin, on the beach with her sister, McKinley, 13, proclaiming, “Look what I found!” “We were like, ‘Wow, oh my gosh,’ “ her mother said. “We saw it was a very large bundle of money.”
An outer bag held two credit cards and a Pennsylvania driver’s license. An inner bag held $50s and $20s — totaling $1,070.

And don't forget, my auction for Nie Nie Day ends tonight at 8pm EST. The current bid is $75! Thanks so much!
